PKF is a
professional corporation of certified public accountants incorporated in
California in 1992. We are a relatively new company with an 80-year
tradition of excellence and quality client service, as we trace our roots back
to the Pannell Kerr Forster accounting firm that was founded in 1911.
In
California, PKF has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Other PKF offices are located in New York, Boston, Washington D.C., and Houston.
We also maintain close affiliations with CPA firms in Atlanta, Birmingham,
Chicago, Denver, and Phoenix. All are members of the PKF Worldwide
Association and all work in cooperation to provide clients with a wide U.S.
network of services.

Ronald
E. Bersaglieri, CPA
|
Ron
Bersaglieri is the Director in charge of the San Francisco practice and
head of its tax department. In his three-decade career, he has
served clients in the hospitality industry – hotels, motels,
restaurants, and clubs – as well as in non-profit associations,
information technology, and a wide variety of real estate entities.
Engagements he has overseen include individuals, partnerships, and closely
held and regular corporations, both domestic and multinational.
Mr.
Bersaglieri is the Director in charge of assignments related to tax
compliance, tax planning, and litigation. He serves as director in
charge of various audit engagements for clubs, hotels, and information
technology companies.
He
is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the
California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the Tax
Committee of the San Francisco Chapter of the California Society of CPAs.
He holds a B.A. in Accounting from San Francisco State University.
Formerly, he was a Partner with Pannell Kerr Forster, where he headed that
firm’s San Francisco practice. Currently, he is a member of the

Richard A. O'Leary, CPA
|
Richard
O’Leary maintains supervisory responsibilities over senior and staff
accountants in the PKF - San Francisco practice. He has overall
responsibility for the technical performance of each audit engagement.
Mr.
O’Leary’s experience includes performing audits and reviews of
non-profit organizations, social clubs, hotels and motels, as well as
clients in the manufacturing, commercial, banking, governmental, and
health care industries. The services he oversees include
auditing, accounting, study and evaluation of internal accounting control,
and the preparation of management letters, financial statements (including
disclosures and accompanying information). He is experienced with
the preparation of corporate, partnership, individual, and non-profit tax
and information returns.
For
the hospitality industry, he is experienced in conducting specialized
studies such as payroll, cash, and food and beverage analysis. He has been
involved in the audits of more than 60 hospitality and non-profit clients.
He is a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New
York and California societies of Certified Public Accountants, and the
International Association of Hospitality Accountants. He holds a
B.B.A. from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Formerly, he was
on the staff of the New York office of Pannell Kerr Forster and a manager

Anthony R. Kopp, CPA
|
Tony Kopp is an Audit Manager for the San Francisco practice. He is responsible for the direct
supervision of all staff and senior accountants. With PKF, he has
more than ten years’ experience in performing audits, reviews,
compilations, internal control studies, due diligence, and other
procedures. Mr. Kopp has worked on PKF engagements in hotel
acquisitions and due diligence and in the preparation of consolidated
financial statements and the review of tax returns, particularly those
involving complex issues.
Prior experience includes both the hospitality and semiconductor industries.
He has served as acting controller for hotels in receivership, where his
duties included the installation of new internal controls systems and the
hiring and training of hotel accounting staff.
Mr.
Kopp is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. He holds a B.S. in
Accounting from Santa Clara University and a M.S. in Taxation from Golden
Gate University in San Francisco.

Joe F.
Huie, CPA
|
Joe
Huie is a Tax Manager for the San Francisco practice. He is responsible for the direct
supervision of the tax staff. Mr. Huie reviews and/or prepares
complex individual, corporate, nonprofit/exempt, and partnership returns.
He is experienced in preparing complex partnership returns with 100-plus
partners and assets of over $15 million, including the preparation of
various multi-state and consolidated returns and the analysis of
international aspects of taxation, including tax treaties, for clients
doing business within and outside the United States.
Mr.
Huie is experienced in tax planning for individuals with large real estate
holdings. As a former IRS International Examiner, he examined large
corporate income tax returns to determine proper tax liabilities in the
international arena.
He
is a member of the California Society of CPAs and holds a B.B.A., with
emphasis in accounting, from San Francisco State University.

Elsie K. Yau, CPA
|
Elsie
Yau is an Audit Manager for the San Francisco practice. She is responsible for direct supervision
of staff and senior accountants. With PKF since 1998, Elsie oversees
and performs audits, reviews, compilations, internal control studies, due
diligence, and other procedures. She is experienced in the auditing
of hotels, clubs, and employee benefits plans. Her tax experience
includes individual, corporate, partnership, exempt organizations, and
multi-states filings.
Ms.
Yau is a member of the California Society of CPAs and holds a B.S. in
computer science from the University of California at Berkeley. She
is fluent in Cantonese.
